Lets Recycle! Candle Making

I am a big fan of scented candles, but I always find that there is loads of Wax left but the wick has gone… So what can I do with the empty container..

We have a range of Candle Sand available in a range of scents.. I chose to use Lavender and Jasmine. They come with three wicks which have an average burn time of 10 hours..

Here is how I made my own Candle Sand Candle.

Step 1

Step 1: Clean your container, select your Candle Sand and find the Wick from inside the packet.

Method: Place your container in a bowl of hot water, wait until the wax melts. Using a wooden spoon or other blunt object, remove as much of the wax as you can.

Wash the container in hot soapy water to remove the last of the wax, Dry thoroughly.

Don’t worry too much if you cant get all the wax out.

Step 2:  Fill your container with the Candle Sand. I chose to layer mine and then add a mixed layer.

Step 3

Step 3: Cut your wick to size. Try to have around 1/2 a cm to 1cm above the level of your candle sand. Make sure you don’t go to far over the top of your container so that you don’t get too much of a flame exposed.

Step 4: Light and Enjoy!
